Reflection

The Reflection features a u-frame open baffle speaker cabinet, which is loaded with our custom-designed 10” Mid-bass driver made by SEAS. Its construction uses a 2.5-way design with active low frequency and passive mid/high frequency crossovers. For the active LP filter, a Hypex FA501 amplifier is used. The listener can select 3 different settings for the cut-off frequency: 100Hz – default, 90Hz and 80Hz. Each of these settings reduces the SPL of low frequencies by 2dB – 100Hz: 0dB, 90Hz: -2dB, 80Hz: -4dB. This way the speakers can be tuned to perfectly match the sound characteristics of the listening room. The open back design eliminates resonances in the cabinet to produce excellent details and reduce reflections in the listening room due to side acoustic cancellation. It is suitable for rooms with poor acoustics. Front and Back firing 1.5” Excel tweeter with front loaded solid wood wave-guide brings open, coherent and detailed high-frequency response and extremely precise sonic performance.

Basic recommendations:

  • at least 150 hours burn-in time to reach the speakers’ full sonic performance
  • suitable for mid to large sized listening rooms
  • most suitable for use with Hi-End tube and solid-state amplifiers
  • to be placed at least 100 cm away from the room walls
